Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a public research university in the city of Liverpool, England with more than 24,000 students, making it the largest university in Liverpool by student population – as well as being the twentieth largest in the U.K. Established in 2011, PROTECT Research Centre conducts research into critical infrastructure computer technology and protection. PROTECT provides a range of expertise, solutions, and services that target industries working in the area of critical infrastructures. The products and services offered are tailored to meet the needs of the critical infrastructure industry, and aim at providing industries and governmental institutions with cutting edge solutions. LJMU is one of the largest UK universities and has participated in over fifty EU-funded research projects across FP6, FP7 and related funding programmes, twelve of which it has acted as coordinator for.
